It's All Good
Announcing the Launch of the Chris Kaitlyn Jewelry Web Site!
WooHoo!
The Launching of the web site is happening and It's All Good! Lots of derriere time was used to create this web site. I uploaded pictures after they were cropped & resized; words were added to help explain what the piece is about as well as the materials in the item; pages were added as I figured out what I wanted to showcase; the Chris Kaitlyn Jewelry header in turquoise at the top of each page changed several times; Blogs were written, which I get a kick out of; and Galleries were added of: Art Quilts that I create, my Different Studios, Pictures of family and friends and what we do, and one of my Displays for art and craft shows that I am in.
The learning curve in understanding the business of the design of a web site was steep, to say the least. I have a day job, so I worked on the site over the weekends as time allowed. I discovered that if I had trouble understanding part of the web program and let that percolate for a couple of days, I was able to come back and accomplish the task successfully. My confidence built exponentially after discovering that concept. So for anyone reading this I starting in May 1, 2014 and was basically finished July 2, 2014 at 9:35pm with one weekend out of town. So it took parts of 8 1/2 weekends to get the site to a place I was willing to launch.
I have read and reread everything more than once and change words several times! I did research to find descriptive words that explained the emotion of a piece. When writing, it is not my nature to be all that descriptive. If I'm talking I am WAY more descriptive of something or a situation. So the skill of describing something while writing is a skill to be worked on.
I have thoroughly enjoyed setting this site up on IndieMade! It has been a fun creative process and I could tinker with the site until the cows come in, so to speak, but it's time to wrap it up and Launch My Site!
Enjoy!
Hope you are having as great a day as I am!
Chris
