Payment--Chris Kaitlyn Jewelry accepts payment through PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can still use PayPal to pay with a credit card or debit card. Washington state sales tax, at 8.7%, will be added to all orders from Washington State customers upon checkout. This is a Safe and Secure site for taking payments. ( For my own personal on line shopping I have used PayPal and it has worked fine for me. At first though I was a little confused as to why I would give PayPal a credit card number, but I understand it better now. Going through PayPal neither I or a shop ever sees the consumer's credit card number which provides an extra layer of security for the customer if that is their concern. Please note I do not accept personal or business checks, cash, travelers checks or money orders, only PayPal.

If you need to cancel your order please do so before I mail the package as I can not stop it's delivery to you once it is in the USPS mailing system.

Shipping--Chris Kaitlyn Jewelry ships with USPS. I will ship your jewelry 1-3 days after the order is placed unless you request I alter the piece in some fashion, which may add additional time. If you would like expedited shipping, or have any other special requests please contact me before purchasing your item. I'll be happy to accommodate your wishes if at all possible, including shipment by priority or express mail if you desire. Any difference in postal fees will be added to your order.

Insurance--All orders over $100 will be insured at buyer's expense. If you are concerned about the cost of insurance we can communicate with each other as to what the amount would be prior to the order being placed.


(International orders are shipped via First Class International Mail. This service does not offer tracking, insurance, or delivery confirmation. If your order is over $100 US currency I will have you insure your item. For an international order if your item is under $100 US I do not require you to add insurance or delivery confirmation, but you may request insurance for your shipments when you place the order. The additional insurance fees will be added to your order. Should your uninsured package be lost during transit, I am not able to replace lost packages at my expense therefor I recommend insurance.

Ownership of the goods passes to the customer upon shipment. Some countries may have customs charges, duty fees and taxes. These items, if applicable, will be the customer's responsibility. Items shipped internationally may take 4 weeks or longer to arrive.)

As of 1-2-17, in general, USPS shipping to US & other countries is as follows:

$ 3.00    United States, 1 light weight item, like earrings or a light weight necklace.

$ 0.50    An additional light weight item with the first light weight item to the US.

$ 5.00    A heavier item to the US, like a gemstone necklace or necklace with a lot of pearls.

$13.00  For example an item to UK, Canada, Australia, etc.

$ 2.75   An additional item with the first item to the UK, Canada, Australia, etc.

If you have paid an excessive amount of shipping I will refund the excess to your PayPal account.

Order in Time--Please note that the Post Office does not always move the mail as fast as they say they will, especially during severe weather or during peak seasons like the winter holidays. Please be sure to order any item in enough time that it gets to you for gift giving to yourself or to others, with time to spare. Thanks.

Refunds & Exchanges--I guarantee my work 100%. If you should have any problem with your jewelry, please contact me first. You may then return the jewelry for a comparable replacement or a full refund (minus shipping costs &/or insurance) within 14 days of purchase. Jewelry must be returned in it's original jewelry box/container with bubble wrap and be in the same condition it was when you received it. If your item was insured when it was mailed to you please insure the package when you return it to me.

Packaging-All jewelry arrives in a colorful & attractive jewelry container with ribbon, perfect for gift giving. The gift container is then packaged in a bubble wrap mailer so that your jewelry will arrive in perfect condition. 

Resizing Jewelry--If you would like a bracelet or necklace resized and it is made with chain or wire I usually can accommodate lengthening the item an extra inch at no extra charge. If it is made with other materials, or a much longer or shorter length is requested, or it has a complex stringing pattern, we can discuss if the item can be successfully restrung and retain the look of the jewelry, and if there are any additional costs before the order is placed.

Metals Used--All the materials I use such as wire, ear wires, and headpins are free of lead, nickel, and zinc, which are the  most common metals I am asked about that can cause an allergic reaction to skin.  When I sting moderate to heavy items on jeweler's wire I use a nylon covered wire that covers 49 strands of woven wire, making it incredibly sturdy and allergen free.

For earrings I use allergen free materials but for those people with higher sensatively I have availabe a higher level of metal for those wanting to pay the slight extra cost. I have available hypoallergenic materials, Niobium and Sterling Silver.  If you are in need of a higher quality metal such as these, please contact me and we can discuss the shapes of the ear wires I have on stock and the additional charge for these materials. I can email you a photo of these ear wires and the slight extra cost, and you can email me back with your selection.
