How the Chris Kaitlyn Web Site Got Started

So how did the web site get started...what was the impetus for NOW! It is all because my business card company, Moo Cards, (www.moo.com), was having a 25% off sale on anything you ordered. Of course there is a set date for when the sale ends and I needed to update the businessy side of the card with addresses for Facebook, Etsy, and the new web site, (the as yet unbuilt web site). Getting the addresses organized for Facebook personal and business is not as easy for me as it sounds.  I've got an older brain that is not as tech driven as the teens and young adults I work with in my day job. I still don't have a web address for the business side of FB that works correctly, but I hope to remedy that today. Then the dreaded web site address. I had been looking at IndieMade for sometime, but now I needed to put my toe in the pond, make a decision, and start figuring out how to set up the site using their parameters and then figure out the address, or figure out the address THEN create the web pages on the site. So I chose to figure out the address first knowing that I picked IndieMade, and after the order was placed at Moo I would start typing in all the information.

Got all the addresses submitted for multiple card designs with Moo and placed the order the last day of the sale, (they don't have 25% off all the time, so it was a really good deal to jump on!) Then each weekend I've been on the IndieMade web site, loading or posting different pieces of information on my site as I try to figure out how and where to put photos and information. A HUGE learning curve takes place every time I work on the web page. I am nothing if not persistant in figuring out how this all works. Keeping the "little brain cells working" as Agatha Christies' character, Hercule Poirot, said on many occassions in her books! Ha!

A big shout out goes to friends, Denise Lariviere and her husband, Craig Parker, and all the others who have been on my case to get a web presence up and running! Here it is! Thanks for the nudge, the push, and the demand, that I get my jewelry on the world wide web! With much Love, Chris.

Have a Terrific Day!

Chris
A Sample of the Moo Cards I ordered that got the ball rolling on this project!
